3. Wireless Network Utility
3.1 Introduction
After installing the driver, the Adapter provides a convenient and powerful utility that allows you to set up, configure, and know your networking status easily and clearly.
You will see the icon( | ) on the Windows task bar when you finish the installation. |
Besides, the small icon will change color to reflect current wireless network connection status. The status indicates as follow:

: Indicate Connected and Signal Strength is Good.
•
: Indicate Connected and Signal Strength is Normal.
•
: Indicate Connected and Signal Strength is Weak.
•
: Indicated not connected yet.
•
: Indicated wireless NIC not detected.
When You click on this icon in the Windows task bar You can see 4 different links:
•Launch Config Utilities
•Use Zero Configuration as Configuration Utility
•Switch to AP mode
•Exit
In windows XP, it provides wireless configuration utility named “windows zero configuration” which provides basic configuration function for WirlessUSB Adapter. Currently, Ralink’s utility provides
