Conventions Used in the Text

Icons on the right end of title bars show the applicable operating modes.

As in the example below, the procedure can be performed in (Auto),

(Manual), (Manual/Stitch Assist) or (Movie) mode.

Using the Self-timer

: This mark denotes issues that may affect the camera’s operation.

: This mark denotes additional topics that complement the basic operating procedures.

In this guide SD memory card (Secure Digital, a copyright protection system) is referred to as SD card.
