NOTE

This kit supercedes Muffler P/N A300000550, and provides the new parts needed to ensure a complete muffler assembly update. (Installation of this kit requires reuse of existing mounting studs and eye plate.)

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Tools Required: 8 mm socket wrench, 13 mm socket wrench, Screwdriver,

WD-40 or equivalent penetrating lubricant

1.Remove air filter cover and disconnect spark plug lead from spark plug. Replace cover, and secure with knob.

2.Move chain brake lever fully rearward to release chain brake.

3.Turn tension adjustment screw 2 -3 turns CCW to loosen chain tension, and remove two guide bar nuts.

4.Remove clutch cover, saw chain, and guide bar.

5.Remove muffler cover screws and remove muffler cover.

WARNING DANGER

Allow muffler and surrounding area to cool down before spraying with WD-40, otherwise spray mist may ignite, causing fire, serious injury, and damage to unit. Wipe up any overspray promptly, and dispose of rag safely.
