1. Click the Start button and sel ect Settings, th en cli ck
Control P anel. T he Control Panel window will appear.
2. Doubl e-clic k Network icon. The Network window will
appear. Selec t the Pr otocol tab from the Network window.
3. Chec k if t he TCP/I P Pr ot ocol is on your list of Network
Protoc ols. If T CP/IP is not installed, click the Add button
to install it no w. If TC P/IP is installed, go to step 5.
4. In the Select Net w or k Pr ot oc ol window , selec t the
TCP/IP Protoc ol and cli ck t he Ok b utton to st art
installin g t he TC P/IP pr otocol . You may need y our
Windows CD to compl ete t he instal lati on.
5. After you instal l TCP/IP, go back to the Network window.
Select TCP/IP from th e list of Net work Protoc ols and
then click th e Propert ies butto n.
6. Chec k each of the tabs a nd veri fy the follo wing set ting s:
y IP Address: Sel ect Specify an IP address . Sp ecify t he
IP Addres s and S ubnet M as k as follo wing e xample.
9 IP Addr ess: 192.168 .2.3 ( any IP address wit hin
192.168. 2.2~1 92.168. 2.254 i s a vailable, do not setup
192.168.2.1)
9 Subnet Mask: 255 .255.255.0
• DNS: Let all fi elds ar e blan k.
• WINS: Let all fields are bl ank.
• Routing: Let all fiel ds ar e blan k.
7. Click OK to confirm the sett ing. Your PC will now have
the IP Address you speci fi ed .
2. Enter 192.1 68.2.1 fr om Web Bro wser to get into the
Access P oint’s c onfig urati on tool.
3. A screen will be popped up and request you to enter user
name an d passw ord. T he defa ult us er nam e and
password i s as f ollo ws. User Name: Admin
Password : 1234
