1. How to manually find your PC’s IP and MAC
Address?
1) In Wind ows, ope n the Com mand Prom pt prog ram

2. What is BSS ID?
A group of wirel ess stati ons and an Acces s Point
compose a Basic S ervice S et (BSS) . Comput ers in a
BSS must b e configur ed with the s ame BSSID.
3. Wh at is ESSID?
An Infras tructur e config uration c ould al so suppor t
roaming capability for mob ile workers. More than one
BSS can be c onfigur ed as an Ext ended Servic e Set
(ESS). User s within an ESS coul d roam freel y between
BSSs while maintaining a conti nuous connecti on to the
wireless networ k statio ns and th e Wirel ess LAN Ac cess
Points.
4. Can data be intercepted w hi le transmitting through
the air?
WLAN features two-fold protecti on in securit y. On the
hardware side, as with D irect Seq uence Spread
Spectr um technol ogy, it has the i nherent s crambl ing
securit y featur e. On the s oftwar e side, t he WLAN series
offers t he encr yption fu nction ( WEP) to enhance
security and access control.
