OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1.Remove the sink drain plug

2.Turn on the cold water to a medium-high flow, allowing the water to flow into the waste disposer.

3.Turn on your waste disposer.

4.Put all food waste into the disposer while the disposer is operating and the water running. Do not put your hand into the disposer.

5.Let your disposer continue to run for about half a minute after the grinding has stopped.

6.Turn off the disposer.

7.Turn off the water when the impellers have stopped spinning.

CAUTION

While your FISHER & PAYKEL waste disposal will have no problem grinding food waste, some items should never be placed into it. In particular, do not attempt to grind the following:

Metal: Silverware, nails, tacks, wire, bread bag ties, staples

Glass: Jars, bottles, pieces of pottery or crockery Lye or drain cleaning chemicals

Excessive quantities of fat or grease Any fibrous materials

Remember, your FISHER & PAYKEL waste disposal is designed for grinding food waste only. With proper use and care it will provide you with many years of trouble free service.

Note: Do not operate your garbage disposer while it is upside down.

If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by a qualified electrician.
