Playing Games

In the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, you have 10 fun games to choose from: Hangman, Anagrams, Word Train, Word Builder, Letter Poker, Jumble, Word Deduction, Word Blaster, and 1 or 2 Player Link Four. For instructions about playing Hangman, Word Train and Word Blaster, see pages 55, 56 and 57, respectively.

Changing Game Settings

Before you play, you can choose the source and size of the words, the skill level, and whether or not graphics will be used. Although you change the game settings in the same manner for the Larousse Spanish-English Dictionary, each setting applies to all games in the Merriam- Webster Dictionary only. For detailed instructions, see “Changing Game Settings” on page 53.

Getting Help in the Games

During any game you can read instructions by pressing HELP. In all games except Link Four you can get a hint by holding CAP and pressing

?or reveal the game word by pressing ?. Note: If you reveal the game word, you lose the round.
