The Selector

Press the selector up (w), left (e), right (r), or

down (t) to highlight

items and press MENU/OK (q) to select. The up, left,

right, and down buttons also double as function buttons 2 through 5.

The Mode dial

To choose a shooting mode, rotate the mode dial to the desired setting.

S(ADVANCED SR AUTO): The camera automatically opti- mizes settings to the scene.

B (AUTO): A simple “point-and-shoot” mode recom- mended for first-time users of digital cameras.

P: Aperture and shutter speed can be adjusted using program shift.

S, A, M: Select for full control over camera settings, in- cluding aperture (M and A) and/or shutter speed (M and S).

Filter (ADVANCED FILTER): Select for taking photos with filter effects.

Adv. (ADVANCED): Sophisticated techniques made easy.

SP1/SP2 (SCENE POSITION): Choose a scene suited to the subject or shooting conditions and let the camera do the rest.

u(MOTION PANORAMA 360): Pan the camera to take a series of shots that are automatically joined into a panorama.
