EWHITE BALANCE

For natural colors, choose a setting that matches the light source (for an explanation of “white bal- ance,” see the Glossary on page 84).

If AUTO does not produce the desired results (for example, when taking close-ups), choose the option that matches the light source.

Auto white balance is used with the fl ash. Turn the lashf off (pg. 21) to take pictures at other settings.

Results vary with shooting conditions. Play pictures back after shooting to check colors in the monitor.

cCONTINUOUS (Continuous shooting) Select mTOP 3 to capture motion in a series of pictures. The camera takes up to three pictures while the shutter-release button is pressed.

The fl ash turns off automatically (pg. 21), and focus and exposure are determined by the fi rst frame in

each series. The previously-selected fl ash mode is re- stored when OFF is selected for cCONTINUOUS.

Frame rate varies with shutter speed.

• The number of pictures that can STORING be recorded depends on the

memory available. Additional time may be required to record pictures when shooting ends. The pictures are displayed in the monitor while recording is in progress.
