Introduction
Connecting a DVD player / Sat ellite / cable
set top box rece iver / gam es cons ole / PC or
Laptop
There are seve ral opt ions to c onnec ting a DV D
player / Satellite or Cable set top box receiver /
games console / PC or Laptop to your T V.
Option 1 SCART
Connect a SCART cable (not supplied)
from the SCART socket on the TV to the DVD
player / Satellite or cable set top box receiver or
games consol.
To select the device connected with the
SCART cable p ress th e SOURCE button o n the
remote and use the keys to select SCART
and press the OK button.
Note:- The TV will default to the SCART
connection when the TV is switched on.
Option 2 HDMI1/HDMI2
If the device you want to connect to the TV
is switched o n, swit ch off th e devic e first .
Connect a HDMI cable (not supplied) from
the HDMI socket on the TV to the DVD player /
Satellite or cable receiver or games consol.
Switch on the device you have just
connected t o the TV
To select the device connected with the
HDMI cable press the SOURCE button on the
remote and use the keys to select HDMI and
press the OK button.
Option 3 AV Audio Visual
(Yellow/White/Red)
Make sure tha t both TV a nd the de vice are
switched off before connecting.
Connect the AV cables (not supplied) from
the Video (yellow) and Audio (white, red)
sockets on the TV to the DVD player or games
console etc.
To select the device connected with the
cable press the SOURCE button on the
remote and use the keys to select AV and
press the OK bu tton.
Option 4 COMPONENT
(Green/Blue/Red)+(White/Red)
Make sure tha t both TV a nd the de vice are
switched off before connecting.
Connect the c ables ( not supplied) from the
COMPONENT IN sockets Y, Pb, Pr (green,
blue, red) and L-Audio-R (white, red) on the TV
to the DVD play er or gam es conso le etc.
AV
To select the dev ice connected with the
cable press t he SOUR CE butt on on the
remote and us e the▼▲ keys to select and
press the OK button.
Option 5 VGA (15p in Sub- D)
Connect a VGA cable (no t supplied) from the
VGA socket on t he TV to th e PC / Laptop.
To select the PC / La ptop connected with the
VGA cable pre ss the SO URCE bu tton on t he
remote and us e the key s to selec t PC and
press the OK button.
Note VGA is vide o only. For a udio fr om your
PC/Laptop you need to connect a separate
cable from the PC Audio (3.5mm jack) to the
headphone socket on you PC/Laptop (3.5mm
jack)
Option 6 USB
Most USB sticks can be connected to your TV
and some digi tal cam eras ma y also wor k.
Connect USB stick (not supplied) or a USB
cable (not supplied) to the TV.
To select the USB d evice connec ted to the TV,
press the SOU RCE but ton on th e remote a nd
use the keys to s elect U SB and pr ess the
OK button.
Note 2. Apple iPhones and iPods are not
compatible with your TV.
Note 3. When connecting any device to the USB
connection, keep the USB cable length as short
as possible.

HEADPHONE OUTPUT
is a digital au dio connection used to
connect audio equipment, for example home
theatres an d other d igita l HiFi sys tems ov er
short dist ances. Th e signa l is tran smitt ed over
either a coaxial cable with RCA connectors.
Make sure tha t both TV a nd the de vice are
switched off before connecting.
Connect the AV cables (not supplied) from
the socket on the T V to the Ho me Theat er
sound syste m or digi tal HiFi s ystem e tc.
Insert the p lug of th e earphone into the headphone
socket on the T V. The TV spe akers a re now mut ed.
Alternatively you can also plug in external speakers if
required.
