The Health Industry Manufacturers Asso ciation recommends that a min imum separation of six inches (6") be main-
tained between a handheld wir eless phone and a pacemaker to avoid potential interferen ce with the pacemaker.
These recommendations are consist ent with the independent research by the recommen dations of Wireless Tech -
nology Research.
Persons with pacemakers should:
ALWAYS keep the phone more than s ix inches from their pacem aker when the phone is turned O N.
NOT carry the phone in a breast pocket .
Use the ear opposite the pacemake r to minimize the potential for i nterference.
Turn the phone OFF immediatel y if you have any reason to susp ect that interference is takin g place.
