SHUTTLE CONTROL

Using the shuttle ring on the remote control

The shuttle feature lets you control all the playback functions – PLAY, PAUSE, SLOW MOTION, and SEARCH – using one convenient ring.

How to use the shuttle ring

[A] Turn the shuttle ring during playback or still playback (pause).

As you turn the ring, you get different playback speeds and forward or reverse motion.

Try using the shuttle to explore backward and forward through your next video.

[B]Turn the ring in the stop mode to fast forward or rewind the tape.

• The tape continues to be wound even after you release the dial.

Notes:

If noise bars appear on the TV screen during the SLOW/STILL modes, turn and hold the shuttle ring in the SLOW position, then press the TRACKING (+ or -) button on the remote control to minimize the noise bars. The noise bars are then eliminated automatically in the STILL mode.

Since thin videotape is used in T-180 and longer cassettes, do not repeatedly perform the following operations with these tapes.

– Fast forward, rewind, slow play

– Insertion and ejection of tapes
