Windows 7 Support

HP scanners now support Windows 7. If the software CD shipped with your scanner does not list Windows 7 on the label, go to www.hp.com/support to download Windows 7 scanner software.

If you're using your scanner with Windows 2000 or XP-64 and can not install the scanning software, go to www.hp.com/support to download scanner drivers and software.

Your scanner is now shipped with new scanning software. Some scanning steps in the User Guide may have changed. Read the following sections for the latest product information.

HP Photosmart Software

If you have newer software for Windows Vista or Windows 7 support, some of the software names have changed:

1.HP Image Zone and HP Photo & Imaging software are now called HP Photosmart software.

2.HP Director is now called HP Solution Center.

3.HP Photosmart Premier has been replaced with HP Photosmart Essential.

4.HP Instant Share, Share-to-Web, and Memories Disk are no longer available.

The HP Scanning software now uses Scan Shortcuts to make your scanning tasks easier. You will see the Scan Shortcuts when you scan instead of the "What are you scanning?" dialog box. For additional information, see the Online Help provided with the scanning software.

The HP Photosmart Software does not support Windows 2000. For Windows 2000 support, download the HP Image Zone or HP Photo & Imaging software at: www.hp.com/support

The HP Photosmart Software does not support Windows 98 and Me.

Locating your electronic User Guide

Your product's electronic user guide is installed in the software language. If you need your product's user guide in your local language instead of the software language, insert the HP CD that came with your product, and click "View or Print Guides." A screen will appear with a list of available languages for your locale.
