1.Upgrade the modular package configuration file of the package created with the A.04.00 version of Metrocluster with Continuous Access EVA.

When using HP Serviceguard A.11.18, complete the following steps to upgrade the modular package configuration file:

a.Create a new package configuration file using the Metrocluster modules and all other modules used by the package that has to be upgraded.

# cmmakepkg -m dts/mcxpca [ -m <module1_name> ...]\

<mccaeva_package.conf>

For example, for a Metrocluster ECM Oracle toolkit modular package, run the following command:

# cmmakepkg -m dts/mccaeva -m ecmt/oracle/oracle example.conf

This new package configuration file includes all the Metrocluster environment file parameters.

b.In this new package configuration file, specify the same values for the package parameters as specified in the Metrocluster with Continuous Access EVA A.04.00 package configuration file.

To obtain the Metrocluster with Continuous Access EVA A.04.00 package configuration file, run the following command:

# cmgetconf -P <package_name>

When using HP Serviceguard A.11.19, create a new Modular package file with the Metrocluster with Continuous Access EVA A.05.00 or later module version.

# cmmakepkg -u <existing_configuration_file> -m dts/mccaeva\ <output_file_for_upgraded_package>

2.In the file created for the upgraded package, copy the values for the following parameters from the environment file of the package:

a.DT_APPLICATION_STARTUP_POLICY

b.WAIT_TIME

c.DR_GROUP_NAME

d.DC1_STORAGE_WORLD_WIDE_NAME

e.DC1_SMIS_LIST

f.DC1_HOST_LIST

g.DC2_STORAGE_WORLD_WIDE_NAME

h.DC2_SMIS_LIST

i.DC2_HOST_LIST

j.QUERY_TIME_OUT

3.Halt the package.

#cmhaltpkg <package_name>

4.Validate the package configuration file.

#cmcheckconf -P <upgraded_package_conf_file>

5.Apply the package configuration file.

#cmapplyconf -P <upgraded_package_conf_file>
