6.Apply the package configuration with the modular configuration file created in step 3.
#cmapplyconf
7.Run the package on a node in the Serviceguard cluster.
#cmrunpkg
8.Enable global switching for the package.
#cmmodpkg
Upgrading Metrocluster SRDF Modular Packages to the Latest Version
Modular Metrocluster packages must be upgraded to the latest versions to use the features enabled by newer versions. The steps to upgrade the packages vary depending on the Serviceguard version.
Complete the following procedure to upgrade packages to MC SRDF A.09.00 or later:
1.Upgrade the modular package configuration file of the package created with the A.08.00 or later versions of Metrocluster with EMC SRDF.
When using HP Serviceguard A.11.18, complete the following steps to upgrade the modular package configuration file:
a.Create a new package configuration file using the Metrocluster modules and all other modules used by the package that has to be upgraded.
# cmmakepkg
<mcsrdf_a.08.00.conf>
For example, for a Metrocluster ECM Oracle toolkit modular package, run the following command:
# cmmakepkg
This new package configuration file includes all the Metrocluster environment file parameters.
b.In this new package configuration file, specify the same values for the package parameters as specified in the Metrocluster with EMC SRDF A.08.00 package configuration file.
To obtain the Metrocluster with EMC SRDF A.08.00 package configuration file, run the following command:
# cmgetconf
When using HP Serviceguard A.11.19, create a new Modular package file with the Metrocluster EMC SRDF A.09.00 or later module version.
#cmmakepkg
For example:
# cmmakepkg
2.In the file created for the upgraded package, copy the values for the following parameters from the environment file:
a.All parameters prefixed with AUTO_
b.DEVICE_GROUP
c.PATH
d.RETRY and RETRYTIME
e.CONSISTENCYGROUPS
For information on editing these parameters, see “Configuring Modular Packages using Metrocluster EMC SRDF A.09.00 or Later” (page 279).
