NAME

ftprestart - remove the shutdown message ®le created by ftpshut utility.

SYNOPSIS

/usr/bin/ftprestart

DESCRIPTION

The ftprestart command removes all the shutdown message ®les from the real, anonymous, and virtual user accounts. The message ®les are created by the ftpshut utility in the path as speci®ed by the `shutdown' directive in the /etc/ftpd/ftpaccess ®le (see ftpshut(1) for more details). This command is always used after the ftpshut command is executed.

Note: For guest user accounts, the message ®les have to be removed manually. The removal will not be done by the ftprestart command.

EXIT STATUS

ftprestart returns:

0successful

1failure
