SYNOPSIS
hyphen [ ®les ]
DESCRIPTION
hyphen ®nds all the hyphenated words ending lines in ®les and prints them on the standard output. If no arguments are given, the standard input is used; thus, hyphen can be used as a ®lter.
EXAMPLES
Prepare an nroff hyphenation proofreading ®le for text®le.

WARNINGS
hyphen cannot cope with hyphenated italics (i.e., underlined) words; it often misses them completely or mangles them.
hyphen occasionally gets confused, but with no ill effects other than spurious extra output.
