GENERAL DESCRIPTION
AnAro diaphragm pum p equiped with the Aro Diaphragm Failure De-
tectorwarns of a di aphragm failure by sensing the presence of l iquid in
theair chamber of the pump. This system uses a liquid sensor in each of
the two air chambers.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Supplyvoltage for the com ponents can be through the 95087 cable
orthrough t he 95088 adapter (seepi nout information on page 2).
2. The cable can be connected to operate an output device as re-
quired(valve, buzzer, light, etc. ).
3. Tocl ean thesensors, di sconnectt he 96270-1sensors from the
95088adapter. Unthread the sensors from the air caps. Clean the
prismof the sensors with a mild detergent or water. WARNING:
Chlorinatedhydrocarbons MUST NOT BE USED for cleaning.

4. To reassemble, apply PTFE tape or #80725 Permatex to the
threadsof each sensor and t hread to the air cap. NOTE: Torquethe
sensorsto NO MORE THAN 120 in.lbs (13.56 Nm). Reconnect the
sensorsto t he 95088 adapter.
5. Note:Clean the sensorsevery 1,000,000 cycles or every 3 months
of use.

NOTE:The power supply cable i s not furnished with the unit and must
besuppl ied by the customer.
ALLWIRING MUST COMPLYWITH ALL LOCAL AND / OR NATION-
ALELECTRICAL CODES.
SElectricalcodes t hat apply must be strictly adhered to; failure to do
som ayl ead to shock hazard or serious injury.
SSomelocal electrical codes may require the inst allation of rigid con-
duit.
SThediaphragm failure detect or components must be installed by a
qualifiedel ectrician in compliance with all national , state and local
codesand regulations to reduce the risk of elect rical shock or other
seriousi njury during installation and operation.
