Using your TV

Turning your TV on and off

To turn your TV on and off:

1Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.

2Press the Power button on your remote control.

Note The power indicator turns off when your TV is active.

The power indicator turns red when the your TV is in Standby mode. When your TV has a blue screen or is tuned to a channel that does not have a signal, your TV goes into Standby mode after five minutes.

Changing TV channels

To change TV channels:

•Press the CH or CH button on your remote control or TV.

To enter channel numbers and date settings directly:

•To enter a two-digit channel number, press the two numbers.

•To enter a three-digit channel number, press and hold the first number for two seconds until two dashes appear to the right of the number, then press the second and third numbers. For example, to tune channel 123, press and hold 1 for two seconds, press 2, then press 3.

Adjusting the volume

To adjust the volume:

•Press the VOL or VOL button on your remote control or press the VOL or VOL button on your TV.

Setting the sleep timer

To set the sleep timer:

1Press the SLEEP button on your remote control one or more times to select the amount of time you want the TV to wait before automatically turning off. You can select 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or 120 minutes.

2To cancel the SLEEP timer, press the SLEEP button one or more times until SLEEP OFF appears.
