Disc Characteristics
DVD+R (DVD + Recordable)
•DVDs can be recorded only once. After a DVD+R is finalized, it cannot be recorded or edited any more.
•Playable on DVD+R compatible players (after finalization).
•Any edited contents may not be compatible with DVD+R compatible players (Hide, chapter combine, added chapter mark, and so on).
•Limited title/chapter editing features.

DVD (8 cm / 12 cm disc)
DVDs such as movies that can be purchased or rented.
Audio CD (8 cm / 12 cm disc)
Music CDs or
WMA, or JPEG files.
Recording times and picture quality
There are four preset recording quality modes:
•XP – The highest quality setting, which provides about 1 hour of recording time on a DVD (4.7 GB).
•SP – The default quality, which is sufficient for most applications and provides about 2 hours of recording time on a DVD (4.7 GB).
•LP – A slightly lower video quality which provides about 4 hours of recording time on a DVD disc (4.7 GB).
•EP – The lowest video quality, which provides about 6 hours of recording time on a DVD (4.7 GB).
Note
If you record in EP mode, the picture may be fragmented or the subtitle distorted during playback.
