Quick Dialing
You can register up to 3 phone numbers for
quick dialing.
To register a phone number:
See the <Calling by Phone Book> (see page 80) and
<When dialing> (see page 79).
Continue to touch more than 2 seconds.
To call a phone number from memory:
Only a phone number can be registered for
Quick Dialing. Therefore, the destination
subscriber name and others are not displayed
during dialing.

Hands Free Setup
The hands-free system can be set as follows.
Hands Free Set Up screen
1Sets an automatic response time after call
termination.
2Adjusts the microphone sensitivity.
3Sets a ringing tone output position.
"Left": Outputs the tone from the front left-hand
side speaker.
"Right":Outputs the tone from the front right-hand
side speaker.
4Synchronizes the GSM with the Phone Book of
optional KCA-HF521 unit.
5Synchronizes the GSM with the SMS of optional
KCA-HF521 unit.
6Returns to the GSM Control screen.
The "Phone Voice" of both "Left" and "Right" can
be turned On at the same time. But they cannot
be turned Off at the same time.

Hands-Free Unit Control
Editing the Phone Book
You can edit data you have registered in the
Phone Book.
See the <Calling by Phone Book> (see page 80) and
select an item you wish to edit on the Phone Book
List screen.
The Edit Phone Number screen appears.
Edit Phone Number ("TEL Number Edit") screen
1Enters a phone number.
2Clears the input phone number.
All entry number are cleared if this key is touched
more than 1 second.
3Returns to the Phone Book List screen.

The digits, accent and extended code characters,
and alphabets are switched each time it is

8Returns to the Edit Phone Number ("TEL Number
Edit") screen.
The extended code characters are displayed only
when a cellular phone supporting the GSM
alphabets is connected.
Each of extended code characters (^, {, }, \, [, ], ¯,
|, ) occupies a two-character memory space
when registered.

The editing completes and the Phone Book data is
updated.
