Basic section
1. Load a cassette tape.
2. Select the tape transport direction.

Recording onto a tape
1Open the cassette holder.
2Insert a tape top end first with the
side you want to record on the top.
3Close the holder.
1Select the TAPE input by press-
ing the TAPE key.
2Press the TAPE key so that the
desired direction indicator ap-
pears.•
3Stop playback by pressing the
7 (stop) key.
To reverse the transport direction
÷When recording is started, the
tape is transported in the direction
selected in this step.
÷Wind the tape to the position
where recording is to be started.
3. Set the recording condition.
Select the reverse mode. ª
Note that this cassette deck cannot record onto
Metal tapes.

÷Differentiation between normal (TYPE )
and high (TYPE ) tape is set automatically.
÷Remove tape slack before loading.
