1 [” ... Both sides are played back (recorded), and then the tape stops (When 2key is pressed, only one side is played back (recorded).

2” .. Both sides are played back endlessly. (The tape stops after recording onto both

sides.)3” .. Only one side is played back (recorded), and then the tape stops.
Selection of DOLBY NR (Noise Reduction)

The Dolby NR system minimizes the hiss noise heard when playing tape. When playing a tape prerecorded with Dolby NR ON, be sure to set the DOLBY NR ON for playback.

Transport direction indicators

The 2 and 3 indicators indicate the current direction in which the tape advances when playback or recording is started automatically by the easy operation function, etc. This direction is the direction stored in memory when the tape was last stopped. (To switch the tape transport direction, press the play key corresponding to the desired direction then press the stop (7) key.)
