Express Script Installer Menu Wizard

The Express Script Installer Menu Wizard guides you through the process of setting up the essential items for most hospital TV viewing applications. The wizard will appear on the screen each time the TV is turned ON, until configuration is completed or the wizard is exited. Use the Installer Remote to make selections and complete each step.

Note: If previously completed or exited, the Express Script Installer Menu Wizard can be re-activated from the Installer Menu—set Installer Menu item 117 FACT DEFAULT to 1 to initiate the Express Script Installer Menu Wizard. See the “Installer Menu” section of this document for further information.

Note: If you plan to create a customized Master TV Setup using the procedure described on pages 15 to 18, transfer (Teach) a Master TV Setup to a Target TV, or configure a TV for FTG Mode of operation, be sure to exit the Express Script in order to avoid setup conflicts that may cause the TV to malfunction.

Note: If you bypass the Express Script, pillow speaker functionality will not be enabled unless you set Installer Menu item 027 HOSPITAL MODE appropriately. See the “Installer Menu” section of this document for further information.

Note: If you opt to exit the Express Script Installer Menu Wizard at any time while it is in progress, any settings made will not be retained.

Upon launching, the Express Script Installer Menu Wizard prompts you to select a menu mode. Use the Up/Down arrow keys on the Installer Remote to select the appropriate option:

Select/highlight Express Script in order to proceed with the wizard. Then, press OK (Enter) on the Installer Remote.

Select/highlight Exit Express Script to exit the wizard. Then, press OK (Enter) on the Installer Remote.

The following procedure describes the Express Script Installer Menu Wizard steps. You can select the “Back” button, where available, to check previous settings, as necessary.

1.Select the tuning band.

Use the Left/Right arrow keys on the Installer Remote to select the appropriate tuning band: Cable Standard (default), Cable HRC, Cable IRC, or Air. When you have made your selection, use the arrow keys to select Next, and then press OK (Enter).

2.Select the Aux inputs.

If you simply select Next and press OK (Enter) in this step, default values will be used. Otherwise, use the Up/Down arrow keys to select the desired Aux input option(s).

To customize settings, select Customize inputs and press OK (Enter). Aux input options are displayed in a pop-up window. Use the arrow keys to select the input(s) to enable or disable. When you are finished, press OK (Enter) or MENU on the Installer Remote. Then, continue with step 3.

To use default values, select Use default values and press OK (Enter). Then, continue with step 3.
