Limited Warranty
MITSUBISHI PROJECTION TELEVISI ON LIMITED WARRANTY
MITSUBISHI DIGITAL ELECTRONICS AMERICA, INC. (“MD EA”) warrants to the original purc haser of this television that if purchased from an authorized
MITSUBISHI Audio/Video Dea ler, should it prove defective by reason of impro per workmanship and/ or material:
a. Parts. The lenticular (i.e. front pic ture) screen and/or t he DiamondShield™ is warranted against defects in materials and work manship for a period of 30 days.
All other parts are warranted for a period o f one year from the date of the original pur chase at retail. We will repair or replac e, at our option, any defective part
without charge for the part. Parts u sed for replacement may be replaced with those of like kind and qualit y and may be new or remanufactured. Part s used for
replacement are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period.
b. Labor. For 30 days after the original purchase at retail, we will repair or replace, at our option, the lenticular screen if it proves defective. For all othe r parts,
we will provide the labor for a warranty repai r by an authorized MITSUBISHI servi ce center without charge for one year fr om the original date or purchase at
retail.
c. Notice. To obtain warranty service, you must notify an aut horized MITSUBISHI service ce nter of any defect within the applic able warranty time period.
1. TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE:
a. Contact your nearest authorized MITSUBIS HI service center whose name and address can be obtained from you r MITSUBISHI dealer or by writing or cal ling
MDEA at the address and telephone numbe r provided below.
b. Warranty service will be provided in yo ur home or, if required, at an authorized ser vice shop, provided that your tel evision is located within the geog raphic
territory customarily covered by an authorized MITSUBISHI service ce nter. If not, you must either deliver your televi sion to an authorized service loc ation at
your own expense, or pay for any travel and/or tr ansportation costs the ser vice center may charge to and from you r home. Actual service labor w ill be provided
without charge.
c. Proof of purchase date from an authorized MITSU BISHI dealer is required when requ esting warranty service. Pre sent your sales receipt or other doc ument
which establishes proof and date of purchase. THE RETURN OF THE OWNER REGISTRATION CARD IS NOT A COND ITION OF WARRANTY COVERAGE.
However, please return the Owner Registration Car d so that we can contact you should a qu estion of safety arise which co uld affect you.
2. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER damage to Diamond Shie ld, Lenticular screen or Fresnel le ns, screen frame, cosmetic dam age or to any other product
where such damage is caused by unauthorize d modi cation, alteration, repairs to or service of the prod uct by anyone other than an authorized MI TSUBISHI
service center; physical abuse to or misuse of the product (inclu ding any failure to carry out any maint enance as described in the Own er’s Guide or any product
damaged by excessive physical or electric al stress); any products t hat have had a serial number or any part ther eof altered, defaced or removed; pr oduct use in
any manner contrary to the Owner’s Guide ( including uneven picture tube a ging and imprinted images on the vi ewing screen); freight damage ; or any damage
caused by acts of God or other factors beyond t he reasonable control of MDEA , such as power surge damage cause d by electrical system or lightni ng. This
warranty also excludes service ca lls where no defect in the produc t covered under this warranty is foun d, service calls related to un satisfactory audio or visua l
reception or signal unless caused a d efect in the product that is covere d under this warranty, all costs, expen ses or any other damages arising from p roduct
installation, or set-ups, any adjustme nts of user controls (includ ing convergence, contrast, bri ghtness, color, tint, ne tuning, sharpness), other adjustment
necessary to prepare the unit for dis play or use, connection with any ext ernal audio receiver, antenna, cable o r satellite systems, or service of products
purchased or serviced outsid e the U.S.A. Please consult the operating instructions con tained in the Owner’s Guide furnis hed with the product for inform ation
regarding user controls.
3. ANY EXPRESS WARRANTY NOT PROVIDED HEREIN, AND ANY REMEDY WHICH, BUT FOR TH IS PROVISION, MIGHT ARISE BY IMPLICATION
OR OPERATION OF LAW, IS HEREBY EXCLUDED AND DISCLAIMED. THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY A ND FITNESS FOR ANY
PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO A TERM OF ONE YEAR.
4. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL MDEA BE LIABLE TO PURCHASER OR ANY OTHER PERSON FO R ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER ARISING OUT OF BREACH OF WARR ANTY, BREACH OF CONTRACT, OR OTHERWISE.
5. Some states do not allow limit ations on how long an implie d warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitatio n of incidental, special or cons equential damages, so
the above limitations or exclusions may not ap ply to you.
6. This warranty gives you speci c legal rights, and you may also have other righ ts which vary from state to state.
7. BEFORE REQUESTING SERVICE, please review the instruction boo klet to insure proper installa tion and correct customer contr ol adjustment. If the problem
persists, contact your nearest MITS UBISHI Dealer for the name(s) of au thorized MITSUBISHI Service C enter(s). If you are unable to obt ain this information,
