Deleting Letters and Words

Place the cursor to the right of the text you want to delete,
and then do the following:
Using Symbol Mode
Your phone provides an alternate way to enter symbol
characters in a message. Press
M

any text entry screen and select the menu option.

Symbol Chart

Use this chart as a guide for entering characters in symbol
method.
Action
Press clear (
C
) to delete 1 letter at a time.
Hold clear (
C
) to delete the entire message.

Press a number key 1 time to display its symbol
options at the bottom of the screen (see the
“Symbol Chart” below.

, or press the number key multiple
times, to highlight the symbol you want.

) to enter the symbol at the
flashing cursor location.
