Event Reporting

The host can request the decoder to provide certain information (events) relative to the decoder’s behavior. Enable

or disable the events listed in Table 10-3 by scanning the appropriate bar codes on the following p a ges. Parameter

number format for these parameters follows those shown in the Simple Serial Interface (SSI) Programmer’s Guide

for parameters numbered 256 or higher.

When enabled, the scanner sends a message to the host whenever a bar code is successfully decoded. When

disabled, no message is sent.
