Note:
If you download a copyrighted file and
store it on your memory card, you can use the
file only while your memory card is inserted
in your phone. You cannot send, copy, or
change copyrighted files.

stored on your memory card

(see page 92). Icons can indicate if a
file is stored in your phone memory (

).To copy or move a
file from your phone to your memory card,
highlight it in the list and press

. You
cannot copy or move some copyrighted files.
To
copy files
between your memory card and
a computer, you can use a cable connection
(see page46) or a Bluetoot hcon nection (see
page 29).

If you try to play a copyrighted file, it might
ask you to download a licence. Some licences
only let you play a file for a certain number of
times or days.
For example, a licence may allow you to play
the content of your download five times or
use the content for three days before it
expires.
You cannot send, copy, or change
copyrighted files.

to a computer
to transfer
data.

Motorola Original USB data

You can use a cable connection to access
your phone’s memory card with a PC.
Note:
When your phone is connected to a
computer, you can only access the memory
card through the computer.
On your phone:
Disconnect the cable
from your phone, if it is
connected, then press

This directs the USB connection to your
memory card.
Connect the cable
to your phone and to an
available USB port on your computer. Then
follow these steps:

On your computer:

Open your “My Computer” window,
where your phone’s memory card shows
as a “Removable Disk” icon.

Click on the “Removable Disk” icon to
access the files on your phone’s memory
card.

To store the desired files onto the
memory card, drag and drop them as
follows:
audio files:

screen savers:

When you finish, disconnect your phone
by selecting the “Safely Remove
Hardware” icon in the system tray at the
bottom of your computer screen. Then
disconnect the “USB Mass Storage
Device.”
