Chapter 18: Information Menu

18.2.1 LAN Menu

The LAN Menu allows you to information about your Local Area Network (LAN).

To access the LAN Menu, select the Information button, select Network, and then select LAN.

Network Status: Indicates whether the DVR is properly connected to the internet.

IP Address(LAN): The identification of the DVR when it is connected to a network.

Subnet Mask: This should always be set to 255.255.255.000. It describes the range of IP addresses that can be found in the network.

Default Gateway: The connection between two networks. This should be the router’s IP address.

Preferred DNS Server: Primary Domain Name System. This will vary from city to city.

Alternate DNS Server: Secondary Domain Name System.

IP Address Conflict: An IP address conflict will happen if two devices on the same network have the same IP address.

IP Address (WAN): The external IP address of the DVR.

Media Port: Shows the port that you configured.

Web Port: Shows the port that you configured.
