•Be sure to attach the strap when using the camera to
ensure that you will not drop it.
•Hold the camera gently with both hands, keep your arms still at
your side and stand with your feet slightly apart.
•Be careful not to move the camera w hen you press the shutter
button.
•Do not cover the flash or the AF Assist Lamp with your fingers
or other objects.
•Do not touch the front of the lens.

∫Direction Detection Function
Pictures recorded with the camera held vertically are played back vertically (rotated). (Only
when [Rotate Disp.] (P39) is set)
•The Direction Detection function may not operate correctly if recording is performed wit h the
camera aimed up or down.
•Motion pictures taken with the camera held vertically are not displayed verti cally.
Following menus can be set with the Intelligent Auto Mode.

–Colour setting of [Happy] is available in [ColorMode]. It is possible to automatically take a
picture with a higher level of brilliance for the colour brightness and vividness.

•When [ ] is selected, [ ], [ ], [ ] or [ ] is set depending on the type of subject
and brightness.
•When [ ] or [ ] is set, Digital Red-Eye Correction is enabled.
•Shutter speed will be slower during [ ] or [ ].
