About the Battery (charging/number of recordable pictures)
∫Battery indication
The battery indic ation is displa yed on the LCD mo nitor.
[It does not appear when you use the camera with the AC adaptor (DMW-AC5PP;
optional) connecte d. ]
•The indication turns red and bl i n ks if the remaining battery pow er is exhausted. (The status
indicator blinks when th e LC D monitor turns off.) Recharg e the battery or replace it with a f ully
charged battery.
∫The battery life
Recording conditions by C IPA standard
•CIPA is an abbreviation of [Camera & Imaging Products Associat ion].
•Temperature: 23 oC (73.4 oF)/Hum idity: 50% when LCD mo nitor is on.¢
•Using a Panasonic SD Memo ry Card (32 MB).
•Using the supplied battery.
•Starting recording 30seconds after the camera is turned on. (When the optical image stabilizer
function is set to [AUTO].)
•Recording once every 30 seconds with full flash every second recording.
•Rotating the zoo m le ver from Te l e to Wide or vice versa in every recording.
•Turning the camera off every 10 recordings and leaving it unti l th e te mperature of the battery
decreases.
¢The number of recordable pic tures decreases in Auto Power LCD mode and Power LCD
mode. (P20)
The number of recordable picture s varies depending on the recordin g interval time.
If the recording interva l time becomes longer, the numbe r of recordable pictures
decreases. [e.g . When recording once every 2 minutes, the numb er of recordable
pictures decreases to about 77.]
The number of recordable pictures and playback time will vary depend ing on the
operating condit ions and storing c ondition of the bat tery.
∫Charging
Charging time and number of recordable pictures with the op tional battery pack
(DMW-BCE10PP) ar e the same as above.
The charging time will v ary slightly depe nding on the stat us of the battery an d the
conditions in th e charging envir onment.
When the charging has been completed successfully, the [CHARGE] indicator turns off.
Note
•The battery may swell and its op era ting time may become shorter as t he number of times it is
charged increases. For l ong term battery use, we reco mmend you do not frequently c harge the
battery before it is exhauste d.
•The performance of the batt ery may temporarily deterio rat e and the operating time may
become shorter in low temper ature conditions (e.g. skiing/ snowboarding).
