Preparation
•The folder number is updated an d th e file number starts from 0001. (P8 9)
•A folder number between 100 and 999 can be assigned.
When the folder numbe r reaches 999, the nu mber cannot be rese t. We recommend formatt ing
the card (P23) after saving th e dat a on a PC or elsewhere.
•To reset the folder number to 1 00, format the built- in memory or the card f irst and then use thi s
function to reset the f ile number.
A reset screen for the folder number will then appear. Select [YES] to reset the folder number.
•When the [RESET] setting is selected during recording, the operation that resets the lens is
also performed at the same time. You will hear the sound of the lens operating but this is
normal and not indic ative of malfunction ing.
•When [SETUP] menu settings ar e res et, the following settings ar e al s o reset. In addition,
[ROTATEDISP.] (P83) is set to [ON], and [FAVORITE] (P83) is set to [OFF] in [PLAYBACK]
mode menu.
–The birthday and nam e settings for [BABY1]/[BABY2] (P47) and [PET] (P48) in scene mode.
–The settings o f [TRAVEL DATE] (P55 ) ( d e parture date , r e turn date, lo cation)
–The [WORLD TIME] ( P56) setting.
•The folder number and the clock s et ting are not changed.
•When [PC] is selected, the camer a is connected via the “USB Mass Storage ” communication
system.
•When [PictBridge(PTP)] is sele cted, the camera is connecte d via the “PTP (Picture Transfer
Protocol)” communication s ystem.
•This will work when the AV cable is connected.

•This will work when the AV cable is connected.
v [NO.RESET] Reset the file number of the nex t rec or d in g to 00 01.
w [RESET] The [REC] or [SETUP] me nu settings are reset to the initial
settings.

the camera to your PC or y our printer with the USB co nnection
cable (supplied).
y [SELECT ON CONNECTION]:
Select either [PC] or [PictBr idge(PTP)] if you connected th e
camera to a PC or a printer supporting Pict Bridge.

Set after or befor e connecting to a print er supporting PictBridge.
z [PC]:
Set after or before connecting to a PC.

Set to match the color te levision system in e ach country.

[NTSC]: Video output is set to NTSC system.
[PAL]: Video output is set to PAL system.
[TVASPECT]
Set to match the type of TV.
(Playback mode only)
[W]: When connecting to a 16:9 sc r e en TV.
[X]: When connecting to a 4:3 screen T V.
