Chain Dial
You can dial a combination of phone book or manual key pad entries while making
a call. This feature can be used, for example, to first automatically dial a calling card
access number that you have stored in the phone book, then manually or
automatically dial your PIN and then automatically dial the destination number from
the phone book.
Ex. Using a long distance calling card
•To prevent misdialing, we recommend you add pauses where needed when
storing numbers. For example, add pauses after a calling card access number
and your PIN when storing in the phone book (p. 39).
1.Se arch and dial from the phone book: 1-800-012-3456 (Calling card access
number)
•The voice guidance may be announced.
2.Se arch and dial from the phone book: 1234 (Calling card PIN)
3.Se arch and dial from the phone book: 1-555-012-3456 (Destination Number)
•If you have rotary or pulse service, you need to press [*] before pressing
[MENU] in step 1 to change the dialing mode temporarily to tone.
1While you are on a call;
Press [MENU].
2Press the soft key ( ) at “1=Phone
book”, or press [1].
3Search for the desired item by pressing [d]
or [B].
•To search for an item by initial, see page41.
4Press the soft key ( ).
•The phone number is dialed.
•If required, repeat steps 1 to 4 for any remaining
numbers.
