Removing a Disc from a Cartridge
To remove a disc from a cartridge, follow the procedure shown below.
[The discs illustrated below are Panasonic 12 cm DVD-RAMs. When using
other discs, refer to instructions supplied with discs.]
To remove a disc from TYPE2 cartridge
1Break and remove the locking pin
using a pointed object such as a
ballpoint pen.
2Open the cover of the cartridge
pressing the hole located on the left
side with a pointed object.
3Remove the disc horizontally, taking
care not to soil or damage the disc.

Match the label side of the disc with the label side of the cartridge and insert fully.
BCheck the setting of the write-protect switch after closing the cover.
Cautions
BDo not try to open the cover by force.
BDo not insert discs other than DVD-RAM into empty cartridges.
BTake care that the disc’s recording surface is not contaminated with
fingerprints, dirt, dust, scratches, or liquids. Do not write on the recording
surface.
BWrite on the label side of the disc only with a soft, oil-based felt pen. Do not
use ballpoint pens or other hard writing implements.
BDo not attach other labels or protective covers. Do not use coatings.
BClean the disc with the special DVD-RAM/PD disc cleaner*. Do not use
benzine, thinners, anti-static fluids, or any other solvent.
BReturn discs to their cartridges when you are not using them.
BDo not drop or bend discs.
*Use LF-K200DCA1 for cleaning.
