Setup Your Computer
■Using USB2.0When computer compatible with USB2.0 is used
BWindows XP
The USB Driver supplied with this drive is not required.
(If Windows XP Service Pack 1 has not been installed, download using
Windows Update.)
Go to “Connecting USB Cable” on p.30.
BWindows 2000
After downloading updates from Windows Update, go to
“Installing UDF Reader” on p.27.
When computer that is not compatible with USB2.0 is used
Connect a USB2.0 interface card to the computer, then install a USB driver
appropriate to the OS on your computer. (Check the interface card
manufacturer’s home page for the latest information.)
BWindows XP
USB driver is available from Microsoft Windows Update.
Download Service Pack 1.
Go to “Connecting USB Cable” on p.30.
BWindows 98SE / Windows Me
Install USB driver supplied with interface card.
The USB Driver supplied with this drive can also be used.
Go to “Installing USB Driver” on p.24.
BWindows 2000
USB driver update is available from Microsoft Windows Update.
Download Service Pack 4.
USB driver may be supplied with the interface card. Check the card’s
instruction manual or manufacturer’s home page for the latest information.
