ZOOMING
To zoom in, press the ZM TELE button on the front panel or the ZOOM IN button on the IR remote controller.
To zoom out, press the ZM WIDE button on the front panel or the ZOOM OUT button on the IR remote controller. You cannot use both
arrow buttons and zooming buttons at the same time.
LENS FUNCTIONS
In PTZ mode, you can focus near or far and also open or close the iris.
To access these functions from the front panel, press the FN button. “FN” appears next to “PTZ” at the top of the screen. Press the
FOCUS NEAR or FOCUS FAR buttons to focus the camera. Press the IRIS CLOSE or IRIS OPEN buttons to close or open the iris. When
you are finished, press the FN button again. “FN” disappears from the top of the screen.
To focus the camera using the IR remote controller, press the FOCUS NEAR or FOCUS FAR buttons. To adjust the iris opening using the
IR remote controller, press the IRIS + or IRIS - buttons.
PTZ TROUBLESHOOTING
If you cannot control a PTZ camera, check the following:
1. Verify the PTZ protocol setting in the RECORDER SETUP screen on the DX3100 against the protocol setting on all receivers.
2. Verify that the receiver baud rate setting matches the baud rate for the PTZ protocol (PELCO D or PELCO P).
3. Verify that the camera address for each receiver matches the PTZ RX address for the camera in the CAMERA SETUP screen on the
DX3100.
4. Verify that the switch on the RS-232 to RS-422/RS-485 converter is set to DCE.
5. Verify that receiver power is turned on.
6. Verify that the wires between the DX3100 and the receivers are connected correctly.
7. Verify that all connector and wire contacts are secure.
8. Check for broken wires.
