8.1.7 Synchronous Recording
Several camera images can be mixed together through a camera switcher and
then recorded separately onto several VCRs. To do so, assign a camera to each
VCR. The VCR records only the camera image assigned to it. This allows recording
without gaps.
If you have three VCRs, the video signals from the three cameras can be recorded
separately by connecting the switcher as shown in Figure 21.
Figure 20. Synchronous Recording Sequence
The programming procedure is as follows:
1. Set REC IN on the Rear Terminal menu to SERIES or
REC-START/STOP on VCR1.
2. Set CLOCK OUT on the Rear Terminal menu to T/L-REC
and F on VCR1.
3. Set REC IN on the Rear Terminal menu to SYNC REC
for all VCRs except VCR1.
Figure 21. Connection for Synchronous Recording
If the switcher has a recording start signal, set REC IN on
the Rear Terminal menu to SYNC REC on VCR1. Then,
VCR1 will always record the picture from camera 1.
You must set the recording mode to L18H or L24H mode.
The suitable numbers of VCRs and cameras are shown
in Table F.
