Using the Self-Timer

In Self-Timer mode, the picture is taken ten seconds or two seconds after the shutter release button is pressed.

Use the ten-second self-timer when you want to be included in a group picture.

Use the two-second self-timer to avoid camera shake when you press the shutter release button.

In C mode, recording movies will start after ten seconds (or two seconds).

Press the shutter release button halfway while the self-timer is engaged to cancel the self-timer. Press the shutter release button fully to reset the self-timer to ten seconds (or two seconds).
