Selecting the Picture Mode According to the Shooting Scene (Picture Mode)

You can select the Picture mode according to the shooting scene. There are ten available modes in Picture mode.

Lets you capture the bright colors of landscape views by

qLandscape emphasizing the contours and saturation of green trees, blue sky, etc.

 

Lets you capture the vivid colors of flowers. The

< Flower

brightness of the image is maintained while the

 

background is moderately blurred.

I Portrait

Lets you take portrait shots in natural tones. (Natural

skin tone is captured by reducing the contrast.)

 

S portraitSelf-

Lets you take pictures of yourself or include yourself in

pictures. (The focus is regulated to take into account the

 

shooting distance <arm length>.)

 

Lets you take bright, vivid pictures of the sea, lakes or

iSurf&Snow snow-covered landscapes in bright sunshine. (Views are vividly reproduced by slightly increasing the contrast.)

 

Lets you reproduce the beautiful colors of the sunrise or

K Sunset

sunset. (Brilliant hues are captured by adjusting the

exposure to create a slightly dark, twilight atmosphere

 

 

and increasing the saturation a little.)

Night

Lets you capture evening or night views or take pictures

of people against a nightscape. (The camera features a

B Scene

max. slow shutter speed of 4 seconds and has slow

mode

synchronization and noise reduction functions.)

 

V Soft

Lets you take pictures with the soft flare effect of a soft

lens.

 

U Illustration

Lets you take illustration-type pictures.

Panorama

Lets you overlap the edges of your images so that they

F Assist

can be joined to form a panorama picture using the
