Built-in DVD player basicoperations

Playing a disc

%Inserta DVD (-R/-RW), CD (-R/-RW) into
thedisc loading slot.
Playbackwill automatically start.
#Besure to turn up the label side of a DVD
(-R/-RW),CD (-R/-RW).
#Aftera DVD (-R/-RW), CD (-R/-RW) has been
inserted,use touch panel keys to select the DVD
player.
#Whena DVD (-R/-RW), CD (-R/-RW) is loaded
inthis unit, touch the source icon and then touch
Discto select Disc.
#Ifyou are playing a DVD or Video CD, a menu
mayappear. Refer to Operating the DVD menu on
page21 and PBC playback on page 25.
#Whenthe automatic playback function is on,
thisunit will cancel the DVD menu and automati-
callystart playback from the first chapter of the
firsttitle. Refer to Automatic playback of DVDs on
page23.
#Toeject a DVD (-R/-RW), CD (-R/-RW), press h
(eject).
Notes
!TheDVD player plays one, standard, 12-cm
DVD(-R/-RW), CD (-R/-RW) at a time. Playing
backan 8-cm disc is not possible with this
unit.
!Donot insert anything other than a DVD (-R/-
RW),CD (-R/-RW) into the disc loading slot.
!Ifbookmark function is on, DVD playback re-
sumesfrom the selected point. For more de-
tails,refer to Resume playback (Bookmark) on
page21.
!Ifa DVD (-R/-RW), CD (-R/-RW) contains a mix-
tureof various media file types such as DivX
andMP3, you can switch between media file
typesto play. Refer to Switching the media file
typeon the next page.
!Ifyou cannot insert a disc completely or if
afteryou insert a disc the disc does not play,
checkthat the label side of the disc is up.
Presshto eject the disc, and check the disc
fordamage before inserting it again.
!Thereis sometimes a delay between starting
updisc playback and the sound being issued.

!Ifan error message is displayed, refer to Error
messageson page 97.
