Repeating play
Forcompressed audio playback, there are
threerepeat play ranges: Folder (folder re-
peat),File (one-track repeat) and Disc (repeat
alltracks).
%TouchRepeat on the function menu to
selectthe repeat range.
!Disc–Repeat all tracks
!File–Repeat the current track
!Folder–Repeat the current folder
#Ifyou select another folder during repeat play,
therepeat play range changes to Disc.
#Ifyou perform track search or fastforward/re-
verseduring File, the repeat play range changes
toFolder.
#WhenFolder is selected, it is not possible to
playback a subfolder of that folder.
#Whenplaying discs with compressed audio
andaudio data (CD-DA), repeat play performs
withinthe currently playing data type even if Disc
isselected.
Playing tracks in random order
Randomplay lets you play back tracks in a
randomorder within the repeat range, Folder
andDisc.
%TouchRandom on the function menu to
turnrandom play on.
Trackswill play in a random order within the
previouslyselected repeat range.
#Toturn random play off, touch Random
again.
Scanning folders and tracksWhileyou are using Folder, the beginning of
eachtrack in the selected folder plays for
about10 seconds. When you are using Disc,
thebeginning of the first track of each folder
isplayed for about 10 seconds.
1 TouchScan on the function menu to
turnscan play on.
Thefirst 10 seconds of each track of the cur-
rentfolder (or the first track of each folder) is
played.
2 Whenyou find the desired track (or
folder)touch Scan again.
#Aftertrack or folder scanning is finished, nor-
malplayback of the tracks will begin again.
