!When playing discs that do not specify PANSCAN, the disc is played back in LETTER BOX display even if you select the PANSCAN setting. Confirm whether the disc package bears the 16 : 9 LB mark.
!The TV aspect ratio cannot be changed for some discs. For details, refer to the disc’s in- structions.
Setting the slide show interval
JPEG files can be viewed as a slide show on this unit. In this setting, the interval between each image can be set.
1Move the thumb pad up or down to select SLIDE- SHOW TIME in PICT.
2Click the thumb pad
A slide show interval time menu is displayed.
3Move the thumb pad up or down to select the de- sired TV aspect.
!Manual – JPEG images can be switched manually
!10sec – JPEG images switch at intervals of 10 seconds
!20sec – JPEG images switch at intervals of 20 seconds
!30sec – JPEG images switch at intervals of 30 seconds
4Click the thumb pad

Setting parental lock

Setting the code number and level
A code number must be registered in order to play back discs with parental lock.
1Move the thumb pad up or down to select PAR- ENTAL in GEN.
2Click the thumb pad
Parental lock setting menu is displayed.
3Press 0 to 9 to input a four digit code number.
4Move the thumb pad left or right to move the cur- sor to the previous or next position.
5Click the thumb pad after entering the four digit code number.
The code number is set, and the level can now be set.
6Move the thumb pad left or right to select the de- sired level.
!LEVEL8 – Playback of the entire disc is possi- ble (initial setting)
!LEVEL7 to LEVEL2 – Playback of discs for children and
!LEVEL1 – Playback of discs for children only is possible
7Click the thumb pad
The parental lock level is set.

!We recommend to keep a record of your code number in case you forget it.
!The parental lock level is stored on the disc. Look for the level indication written on the disc package, included literature or on the disc itself. Parental lock of this unit is not pos- sible if a parental lock level is not stored on the disc.
!With some discs, the parental lock may be ac- tive only for certain levels of scenes. The play- back of those scenes will be skipped. For details, refer to the instruction manual that came with the disc.
