2.1 COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS

The INSPIRE 1394 is a self contained 1394 audio interface- just add a computer with a 1394 port, and your recording setup is complete (no other device, such as an internal sound card, is needed). Below are the required computer system specs for your INSPIRE 1394:

Windows

-OS: Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1 or later

-Computer: Windows compatible computer with 1394 port (PCI or built-in).

-CPU/Clock: Pentium, with 900Mhz or higher (2.4 GHz recommended)

-Memory(RAM): 256 MB (512 MB or more recommended)

Macintosh

-OS: MacOS X 10.3.7 or later

-Computer: Apple Macintosh series with 1394 port (PCI or built-in).

-CPU/Clock: PowerPC G4/800Mhz or higher

-Memory(RAM): 256 MB (512 MB or more recommended)

Note that the speed of your processor, amount of RAM and size and speed of your hard drive will greatly affect the overall performance of your recording system.
