El modo de medición hace referencia a la manera en la que la cámara mide la cantidad de luz.

La cámara mide la cantidad de luz de una escena y, en muchos de sus modos, utiliza esta medida para ajustar varias configuraciones. Por ejemplo, si un sujeto se ve más oscuro que su color real, la cámara tomará una fotografía sobreexpuesta. Si un sujeto se ve más claro que su color real, la cámara tomará una fotografía subexpuesta.
