OPS(Optical Picture Stabilisation : Optical Picture Stabilisation)
ƅThe OPS function reduces blurring caused by camera shake.
Press the OPS button and you can select OPS1 or OPS2.
1. OPS1 : Stabilising function is in standby and
activates at the moment the shutter captures
the image.
2. OPS2 : A shutter speed and an aperture value
will display on the LCD and OPS function
operates when you press the shutter button
down half way.
żOPS function may not work sufficiently in the following cases.
-When using the digital zoom
-When taking pictures while following subjects in motion.
-When the surrounding is dark
-When the shutter speed is extremely slow for some reason
żThe colour of OPS icons( , ) shows the condition of the OPS
function. (White : Normal; Gray : Battery or Temperature lock)

ƀRotating an image
You can rotate an image to a direction you want.
Press the horizontal smart button.
Touch the smart button and the selected image is
rotated. Press the smart button and the rotated
image information will be saved.
: rotates the image clockwise.
: rotates the image anticlockwise.
ƅDate mode : When an image is taken, date information is also recorded.
In date mode, images play back by the date.
ƀSelecting a date
You can select a date by using the smart button.
żUsage of the menu of the date mode is same as
album mode. Refer to p.40 for more information.
ƀYou cannot use the OPS function in the movie clip mode.
ƀIf you operate OPS function using a tripod, the image can be blurred by
the vibration of the sensor of the OPS. Turn off the OPS function when
you use a tripod.
ƀIf you subject the camera to an impact, the LCD monitor can be shaken.
In this case, turn off the camera and turn it on again. And then the camera
functions properly.
ƀOperate the OPS function when the battery is efficiently charged
( , ).
ƀThe overheating caused by prolonged use of a camera releases the OPS
fuction automatically.
ƀIt is recommended that you don’t use the OPS function in the Macro or
Super macro mode.
