Working with contacts

The MSN Messenger screen shows all of your messenger contacts at a glance, divided into Online and Not Online categories. From this view, while connected, you can start a chat by tapping a contact on the list.

To add a contact, tap Menu and select Add a Contact... Enter the person’s e-mail address and tap Next Done.

To delete a contact, tap and hold the contact and select Delete Contact.

To set the MSN Messenger to automatically update the contacts’ status when it changes, tap and hold the contact and select Auto update status.

To send an e-mail message, tap and hold the contact and select Send Mail.

To view the properties of a contact, tap and hold the contact and select Properties.

To block a contact from chatting with you, tap and hold the contact and select Block.

Note: To see others online without being seen, on the MSN Messenger screen, tap Menu My Status Appear Offline. If you block a contact, you will appear offline to that contact, but will remain on the blocked contact’s list. To unblock a contact, tap and hold the contact and select Unblock from the pop-up menu.
