Ifyouencounterinterference,adjustthe
controlin bothdirectionsuntilyouobtain
thebestcompromisebetweenyourstation
andtheinterference.

SELECTIVITYSWITCH

Somestationstransmittheirsignalsothat
verylittlespaceexistsbetweentheir
airspaceandthestationnexttothemonthe
band.If,whiletuning,youencounter
interference,causedbythesignalfroman
adjacentstation,pressthebuttonforthe
bandyouarelisteningtoandselectthe
NARROWposition.Theinterferenceis
reducedormuted.
Forfullreception,leavetheswitchinthe
WIDEposition.
IfyouplantolistentoMorsecode,referred
toasCW(continuouswave),settheBFO
switchtoONposition.Ifyouencounter
toomuchnoiseasyoutune,settheAM
NARROW/WIDEswitchtoNARROW
position.
