fit the deflector (refer Figur e 13) with
the screws supplied to the upper
telescope chimney.
There are holes in the back upper
edge of the decorative chimney for
this purpose. A short length of
ducting is connected between the
exhaust outlet on the fan and the
deflector to direct the air back into
the kitchen through the vents at the
top of the up per dec orati ve
chimney.
Th e c ar bon f ilt er ( sup pli ed
separately) that absorbs odors is
installe d behind the aluminium
grease filter (refer to Fig 14)

grit present – if there is this will most
definitely crack the glass. The plastic
washers must be positioned be-
tween the screw head and the glass.
Fit the screen – please have some-
one hold this in place whilst another
person puts in the screws. Using
FINGERS ONLY, tig hten the
screws evenly until finger tight.
Do not under any circumstances
use a screw driver.

General Advice
Ensure that the grease filters are in
place. Without these com ponents,
operating blowers could catch on to
hair, fingers and loose clothing.
Keep fan, filters and surfaces clean
of grease and fat. Always turn hood
fan ON when cooking. NEVER leave
cooking unattended.
