Getting Started

The recording time depends on the capacity

of “Memory Stick PRO Duo” media and

[REC MODE] (p. 49). Numbers in ( )

indicates the minimum recording time.

HD (high definition) image quality

(min.)
*Movies are recorded with AVCHD 1920 ×
1080/50i format.
**Movies are recorded with AVCHD 1440 ×
1080/50i format.

SD (standard definition) image quality

(min.)
bNotes
• When using “Memory Stick PRO Duo” media
made by Sony Corporation. The recordable time
for movies varies depending on the recording
conditions, subject conditions, and the type of
“Memory Stick” media.
zTips
• Figures such as 16M in the table show the
average bit rate. M stands for Mbps.
• For the number of recordable still images, see
page 52.
• You can record movies of a maximum of 3,999
scenes with HD (high definition) image quality,
and 9,999 scenes with SD (standard definition)
image quality.
• This technology causes fluctuations in the
recording time of the “Memory Stick PRO Duo”
media.
Movies containing quickly moving and complex
images are recorded at a higher bit rate, and this
reduces the overall recording time.
