To reset the unit to factory settings

If the unit still does not operate properly
after performing the above measures or
other troubles not described above occur,
reset the unit as follows:
Use the buttons on the unit for the
operation.
1Press POWER on the back panel to
turn off the AC power.
2Press POWER again to turn on the
AC power.
3(Except North American model)
Press ?/1 to turn on the unit.
4Press and hold NX and GROOVE
at the same time for about 5
seconds.
“RESET” appears in the display.
The unit is reset to the factory settings.
You need to readjust all the settings you
made, such as the preset stations.
Messages
One of the following messages may
appear or flash in the display during
operation.
COMPLETE
The radio preset operation ended
normally.
DEVICE ERROR
The memory of the USB device could not
be recognized (page19).
NoDEVICE
No USB device is connected.
NO TRACK
No playable audio file is loaded in the
unit.
NO ARTIST
Playable file on the USB device do not
has artist information.
NOT SUPPORT
An unsupported USB device is connected,
an unknown device is connected, or the
USB device is connected through a USB
hub (page26).
OVER CURRENT
An over current from the (USB) port
or iPod was detected.
PROTECT
The following causes can be considered:
• The ventilation holes may be blocked.
• The voltage selector may not be set to
the correct local power line voltage.
See “If “PROTECT” appears on the
display” (page18) to check what to do if
this message appears.
READING
The unit is reading information of the
USB device.
